The Colgate women's basketball team will host Iona on Thursday, Dec. 29. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Cotterell Court and will be streamed live on Colgate All-Access. The Raiders will then travel north to the Carrier Dome to face Syracuse on Saturday, Dec. 31. The game is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Three Raiders scored in double-figures but it wasn't enough as the Colgate women's basketball team fell to St. Bonaventure 68-49 Thursday (Dec. 22) at Cotterell Court. The Raiders held a 35-30 lead in the second half before the Bonnies responded with 22-6 run and never looked back.
Freshmen
Mariah Jones and
Missy Repoli scored 11 points apiece, while senior
Kelly Korkowski finished with 10 points, five rebounds, three assists and three blocked shots to lead the Raiders.
Tricia Oakes also pitched in six points, eight rebounds and one blocked shot, while
Candice Green dished out a season-high seven assists.
SCOUTING IONA (4-6)
Senior forward Kristina Ford led the Gaels with 11 points and eight rebounds as the Iona College women's basketball team fell 62-29 to No. 11 Rutgers Sunday (Dec. 18) at the Rutgers Athletic Center.
Freshman Damika Martinez contributed her seventh double-digit effort of the season, scoring 10 points and chipping in six rebounds while sophomore forward Sabrina Jeridore had a season-high eight rebounds.
THE SERIES AGAINST IONA
This will be the seventh meeting between Colgate and Iona, with the all-time series tied 3-3. Colgate won the first three games, before dropping the next three including a 66-56 loss in Hamilton during the 2000-01 season.
SCOUTING SYRACUSE (9-4)
Iasia Hemingway scored a game-high 24 points, including nine in a row in a late run to lead the Syracuse women's basketball to an 81-70 victory over Ohio on the final day of the Duel In The Desert at UNLV's Cox Pavilion on Tuesday (Dec. 20). Hemingway finished with 10 rebounds for her second double-double of the season while Carmen Tyson-Thomas added 22 points.
Elashier Hall (13) and Shakeya Leary (10) rounded out the four players in double figures as Syracuse shot a season-high 50.8 percent from the field. The Orange totaled 17 assists with Rachel Coffey dishing out a game-high six.
THE SERIES AGAINST SYRACUSE
This will be the 13th meeting between Colgate and Syracuse, with the Orange leading the all-time series 12-0. Syracuse won the last meeting 75-26 in Hamilton during the 2007-08 season.
WELCOME TO MY BLOCK PARTY
Senior forward
Kelly Korkowski is moving up the Colgate women's basketball record books. Korkowski is currently ranked seventh in Colgate history with 70 career blocks. With five more blocks she will move into a tie for sixth with Suzanne Bowen with 75. Senior
Tricia Oakes is also moving up as she currently sits ninth all-time with 62 blocks, one away from a tie for eighth with Caitlin Gillard.
FOLLOW MY REID
Kelly Reid is only a freshman, but she has made an immediate impact for the Raiders this season. Reid is leading the squad in rebounding with 5.4 per game, which places her 11th in the Patriot League and second among freshman. Reid pulled down a career-high 14 rebounds against Canisius.
THREE FOR ALL
Senior
Candice Green has made 83 career three pointers, which places her seventh all-time in the Colgate record books. Green is just 17 shy of becoming the seventh Raider to make 100 or more three-pointers in a career.
A LITTLE ASSISTANCE
Candice Green is also moving up the record books in assists with 213. She is just 53 helpers behind Megan Ballard for 10th all-time at Colgate. Green is currently averaging 3.5 assists per game this season, which ranks third in the Patriot League.
SHOOT WITH THE RAIDERS
The Colgate University men's and women's basketball teams are inviting fans and friends to join them for the seventh annual “Shoot With The Raiders” event on Sunday, January 8 at 1:00 p.m. at Cotterell Court in the Reid Athletic Center.
The event, which is open to the public, will give fans the opportunity to meet and get autographs from their favorite players and coaches. There will also be a series of skill competitions and drills for participants which include shooting, basketball relay races, and more to name a few. Admission for the event is free.
