The Colgate Raiders (4-6, 0-4 PL) will host rival Bucknell (6-4, 2-2) in their season finale Saturday, Nov. 19 at Andy Kerr Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. and will be live on Colgate All-Access.
THE SERIES
This will be the 60th meeting between Colgate and Bucknell, with the Raiders leading the all-time series 43-16, including last years win 31-7 at Bucknell. Colgate has won the last four meetings in the series, with its last loss to the Bison coming in 2006 in Lewisburg, Pa. The last time Bucknell won in Hamilton was during the 1999 season when it topped the Raiders 21-16 at Andy Kerr Stadium.
THE COACHES
Colgate head coach
Dick Biddle, who has the most wins in school history, is in his 16th season at the helm of the Raiders. His overall record is 124-61, and is 11-4 against Bucknell. Bucknell head coach Joe Susan is in his second season with the Bison and has a record of 7-14, and is 0-1 against Colgate.
BUCKNELL NOTEBOOK
The Bison (6-4, 2-2 PL) enter the final weekend of the season after recording their first shutout since 2001 with a 21-0 victory over Fordham at Jack Coffey Field. Bucknell forced four first half tunovers enroute to collecting its sixth win of the season, the most for the Bison since the 2006 season.
Tyler Smith led the Bison offense with 204 yards rushing and one touchdown, while the defense forced a total of five turnovers and held the Rams to 267 yards of total offense. Smith is just the fourth player in school history with two career 200-yard outings. Smith registered 212 yards on the ground at Lafayette.
Bucknell is led on offense by Smith who has rushed for 786 yards and eight touchdowns, while catching 24 passes for 145 yards. Quarterback Brandon Wesley has thrown for 1,446 yards and seven touchdowns, while rushing for 60 yards and six scores. Frank DeNick leads the Bison with 36 receptions for 503 yards and three touchdowns, while Victor Walker has made 18 catches for 434 yards and two scores.
On defense the Bison are led by Sean Rafferty who leads the team with 62 tackles, while Bryce Robertson has 37 tackles and an NCAA leading 12 interceptions that he has returned for 184 yards.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
• Colgate will look to grab its first Patriot League win of the year, this is the first time since 1995 that the Raiders have started 0-4 in league play.
• Colgate has not lost to Bucknell at home since 1999 (21-16)
• Colgate will look to extend its streak of not being shutout out to 90 games. The last time the Raiders were shutout was against Delaware (40-0) in the 2003 national championship game.
• Colgate has the 15th best rushing offense in the nation with 218.4 yards per game.
• Bucknell has the third best rush defense in the nation only giving up 65.8 yards per game.
• The Bison have also intercepted 21 passes this season which ranks first in the nation.
• Colgate will look to intercept two passes for the fifth time this season, the Raiders are 4-0 when picking-off two passes.
• DiMassa leads Colgate with 91 tackles and ranks third in the Patriot League, the last Raider to record 100 or more tackles was Mike Gillihugh (123) in 2007.
• McCarney is also just 23 completions away from being the first Raider to complete 175 passes or more in a season since Chris Brown completed 223 in 2003.

McCORD EARNS CFPA HONORS

Jordan McCord was recognized by CollegeFootballPerformance.com following his performance at Lafayette. McCord earned College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) Honorable Mention after running for a season-high 172 yards and two touchdowns, while also making five receptions for another 34 yards. McCord has now rushed for 256 yards and four touchdowns in his two starts at running back, while recording 68 tackles and two interceptions in nine games at free safety.
600 AND COUNTING
Last season the Colgate football team became just the 15th program in FCS history to reach 600 wins after topping Cornell 44-3 on Oct. 16. Colgate now has an all-time record of 607-453-50. The Raiders are also the ninth winningest program in the FCS over the last decade. Since 2000, Colgate has posted a recorded 89-39 and won four Patriot League titles.

THE BIDDLE ERA

Dick Biddle is in his 16th season with the Raiders and has an overall mark of 124-61. He has achieved the best winning percentage (.686) of any Colgate coach with seven or more years at the helm of the Raiders. Biddle is also the first Colgate coach to ever record nine straight seasons with seven or more victories.
He has been named Patriot League Coach of the Year four times while guiding the Raiders to six Patriot League titles and six appearances in the FCS (formally I-AA) playoffs. In 2003, Biddle was named the American Football Coaches Association Division I-AA National Coach of the Year after leading the Raiders to a 15-1 record, and to the national championship game of the NCAA Division I-AA playoffs.
