The Colgate Raiders (4-3, 0-1 PL) will look to extend their current winning streak to four games when they travel to the Nation's Capital to face Georgetown (5-2, 1-1 PL) on Saturday, Oct. 22. Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m. at Multi-Sport Field and will be aired on FiOS1.
THE SERIES
This will be the ninth meeting between Colgate and Georgetown, with the Raiders leading the all-time series 8-0. Colgate has won all four meetings at Georgetown including a 31-14 win in 2009. The closest the game between the Raiders and the Hoyas came in 2003 (20-19) at Georgetown.

THE COACHES
Colgate head coach
Dick Biddle, who has the most wins in school history, is in his 16th season at the helm of the Raiders. His overall record is 124-58, and is a perfect 8-0 against Georgetown. Georgetown head coach Kevin Kelly is in his sixth season with the Hoyas and has a record of 14-47, and is 0-4 against Colgate.
GEORGETOWN NOTEBOOK
The Hoyas (5-2, 1-1 PL) scored 14 fourth-quarter points, as junior wide receiver Jeff Burke and junior quarterback Isaiah Kempf each threw touchdown passes to defeat Howard University (3-4), 21-3 on Saturday at Greene Memorial Stadium to claim the Mayor's Cup. The win for the Hoyas was their fifth of the season, which is the most since 2002, when they finished 5-6.
Georgetown is led on offense by Kempf, who has completed 100-of-173 passes for 974 yards and eight touchdowns, while rushing for 193 yards and two scores. Nick Campanella leads the team in rushing with 352 yards and six touchdowns, while Max Waizenegger and Jamal Davis lead the team in receiving with 25 receptions apiece. Waizenegger has 295 yards receiving for five touchdowns, while Davis has 255 yards and one score.
On defense the Hoyas are led by Robert McCabe who leads the Patriot League with 79 tackles, while Andrew Schaetzke leads the league in sacks with 6.5 and is second with 13 tackles for a loss. Georgetown also has six players who have at least one interception on the season, while McCabe, Wayne Helmull, David Quintero and Stephan Atwater each have two.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
• Colgate will aim to extend its current winning streak to four games, which would be its longest since 2009.
• The Raiders will look to improve to a perfect 9-0 all-time against Georgetown.
• Colgate has the 7th ranked rushing offense in the nation with 248.5 yards per game.
• Georgetown has the 10th ranked rush defense in the nation only allowing 90.7 yards per game.
• Colgate will look to extend its streak of not being shutout out to 87 games. The last time the Raiders were shutout was against Delaware (40-0) in the 2003 national
championship game.
• Colgate will also look to intercept two passes for the fourth-straight game.
• Colgate is just two wins away from posting its fifth-straight winning season.
• McCarney needs 975 yards passing to become the first Raider to amass 2,000 in a season since Alex Relph threw for 2,138 in 2007.
• McCarney is also just 49 completions away from being the first Raider to complete 150 passes in a season since Relph completed 158 in 2007.
• Eachus needs 372 yards rushing to become just the fourth Raider to rush for 1,000 yards in back-to-back seasons.
• Eachus needs 650 yards rushing to become just the third Raider to amass 5,000 yards in a career.
• Eachus also needs seven touchdowns rushing to break the school record of 57 set by Jordan Scott.

ARMIENTO NAMED PL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK ... AGAIN
Freshman
Mike Armiento was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week for the second time this season, after tallying four tackles, two tackles for loss and a pass breakup in Colgate's win over Cornell. He is up to 18 tackles; two interceptions and three pass breakups for the season.
LOCK EARNS CFPA AND PL AWARDS
Senior
Adam Lock was named the CFPA National Linebacker of the Week and the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week after recording seven tackles, 2.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery against the Big Red. His second sack came on the first play of the second half. He also forced and recovered a fumble on the play to set Colgate up inside the Cornell 10 for a touchdown that made the score 21-10. Lock has 30 tackles and 3.5 sacks on the season.
INJURY BUG STRIKES COLGATE
Since the start of the 2011 season the Colgate Raiders have posted 14 different starters on offense, eight on defense and seven in special teams all due to injury. On offense, Colgate has started four different wide receivers, four running backs, two quarterbacks, two tight ends and two offensive linemen. On defense, the Raiders have started four different cornerbacks, two linebackers and two safeties, while the special teams have seen three different kickoff returners, two long snappers and two holders.
Colgate hasn't started the same group on offense or defense since the second week of the season, while the secondary has only been the same twice against Monmouth and Cornell. With all of the injuries the Raiders still have chance of winning the Patriot League title for the seventh time in school history and own a winning record (4-3) after winning the last three games.
COLGATE LOVES NEW YORK
The Raiders have a perfect 3-0 record at home this season outscoring their opponents 110-76. The road hasn't been so kind to Colgate, which has a 1-3 record and has been outscored 130-70.
BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL
Colgate has two players this season that have seen time on both sides of the ball. Senior
Dan Basil has played both wide receiver and defensive back, while junior
Jordan McCord has seen time as a running back and free safety.
Basil has seven catches for 66 yards on offense while recording nine tackles on defense. McCord, who ran for 930 yards during the 2009 season, has 24 carries for 89 yards and two scores this year, while recording 48 tackles, two interceptions, one sack and has forced one fumble on defense.
EACHUS APPROACHING PATRIOT LEAGUE MARKS
While
Nate Eachus missed his third game of the season on Saturday, he is still on pace to finish his career with some of the most impressive individual totals in Patriot League history. The Colgate senior running back stands second in Patriot League history with 51 rushing touchdowns; sixth with 4,350 rushing yards and just entered the top 10 with 4,761 all-purpose yards. He remains the active leader nationally in career rushing yards, yards per game and touchdowns and stands second among all players in all-purpose yardage and overall scoring.
600 AND COUNTING
Last season the Colgate football team became just the 15th program in FCS history to reach 600 wins after topping Cornell 44-3 on Oct. 16. Colgate now has an all-time record of 607-450-50. The Raiders are also the ninth winningest program in the FCS over the last decade. Since 2000, Colgate has posted a recorded 89-39 and won four Patriot League titles.

THE BIDDLE ERA
Colgate head coach
Dick Biddle is in his 16th season with the Raiders and has an overall mark of 124-58. He has achieved the best winning percentage (.686) of any Colgate coach with seven or more years at the helm of the Raiders. Biddle is also the first Colgate coach to ever record nine straight seasons with seven or more victories.
He has been named Patriot League Coach of the Year four times while guiding the Raiders to six Patriot League titles and six appearances in the FCS (formally I-AA) playoffs. In 2003, Biddle was named the American Football Coaches Association Division I-AA National Coach of the Year after leading the Raiders to a 15-1 record, and to the national championship game of the NCAA Division I-AA playoffs.
