The Colgate Raiders (4-4, 1-2) look to get back on track Saturday, Nov. 6 when they host Lafayette (2-6, 1-1) for the final home game of the season. Kickoff is set for 1:07 p.m. and will be broadcast live on Time Warner Cable Sports.
THE SERIES
This will be the 54th meeting between Colgate and Lafayette, with the Raiders leading the all-time series 38-11-4. Colgate has won 12 of the last 14 meetings but lost last season 56-49 in Easton, Pa. Colgate is 20-5-1 at home against the Leopards.
THE COACHES
Colgate head coach
Dick Biddle, who has the most wins in school history, is in his 15th season at the helm of the Raiders. His overall record is 117-55, and is 12-2 against Lafayette.
Lafayette head coach Frank Tavani is in his 11th season with the Leopards and has compiled an overall mark of 62-59 and is 2-8 against Colgate.
LAFAYETTE NOTEBOOK
The Leopards (2-6, 1-1) are coming off their first Patriot League win of the season, a 33-22 topping at Bucknell.
Lafayette is led on offense by quarterback Ryan O'Neil and a pair of wide receivers Mark Layton and Kyle Hayes. O'Neil has thrown for 1,685 yards and 10 touchdowns, while Layton and Hayes have combined for 71 receptions, 887 yards and seven touchdowns. The leopards also have a pair of running backs that average 40-plus yards per game, including Patriot League Rookie of the Week, Patrick Mputu. Mputu recorded two catches for 84 yards and one touchdown and seven carries for 55 yards against the Bison.
On defense Lafayette is led by linebacker Michael Schmidlein and free safety Kyle Simmons. Schmidlein leads the Patriot League with 78 tackles, while Simmons has 57. Leroy Butler and Mike Grimaidi have three sacks apiece to lead the Leopards.
EACHUS NAMED TO WALTER PAYTON AWARD WATCH LIST
Junior running back
Nate Eachus has joined the race for the 2010 Walter Payton Award, sponsored by Fathead.com. The Payton Award is in its 24th season and is the Football Championship Subdivision's top individual honor.
Eachus leads the nation with 161.9 yards per game this year. Eachus has 1,295 yards and 14 touchdowns for the season. He has also caught 12 passes for 115 yards, which ranks second on the team.
Eachus is the first Raider to rush for more than 1,200 yards in a season since Jordan Scott ran for 1,875 in 2007. His 1,295 yards this season ranks ninth all-time among the most yards in a single season.

Nate Eachus, a two-time All-Patriot First Team selection, is climbing up the Colgate record books where he is fourth in rushing touchdowns (40) and sixth in rushing yards (3,146). He is just the fifth running back in Colgate history to amass more then 3,000 yards rushing.

Jonathan Mputu, whose brother Patrick is a freshman at Lafayette, and was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week following his performance against Bucknell.
SULLIVAN BREAKS PATRIOT LEAGUE RUSHING RECORD
Senior quarterback
Greg Sullivan recently broke the Patriot League record for most rushing yards gained by a quarterback in a career with 2,153. Sullivan is second on the team and Patriot League in rushing this season averaging 66.7 yards per game. Sullivan is also just 69 yards shy of becoming the all-time rushing quarterback in school history.

Senior quarterback
Greg Sullivan has been named a semi-finalist for the 2010 William V. Campbell Trophy. The National Football Foundation gives the award, formerly known as the Draddy Trophy, to a premier scholar-athlete in college football.
Sullivan, who was named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll for the second straight year last season, is one of 28 semi-finalists named from the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS).
DIMASSA IS A TACKLING MACHINE

Chris DiMassa is currently fourth in the Patriot League in tackles with a total of 71, which equals 8.9 per game. The last Raider to lead the league in tackling was Mike Gallihugh with 123 in 2007.
SACK KINGS

Zach Smith and
Lamont Sonds currently sit first and third in the Patriot League in sacks. Smith is first with 6.0 total sacks, while Sonds is third with 4.5, respectively. The only Raider to lead the league in sacks was Pat Nolan with 6.5 in 2007.
600 AND COUNTING
The Colgate football team became just the 15th program in FCS history to reach 600 wins after dismantling Cornell 44-3 on Saturday. The Raiders are also the ninth winningest program in the FCS over the last decade. Since 2000, Colgate has posted a recorded 86-39 and won four Patriot League titles.

THE BIDDLE ERA

Dick Biddle is in his 15th season with the Raiders. Biddle has an overall mark of 117-55. He has achieved the best winning percentage (.691) of any Colgate coach with seven or more years at the helm of the Raiders. Biddle is also the first Colgate coach to ever record nine straight seasons with seven or more victories.
He has been named Patriot League Coach of the Year four times while guiding the Raiders to six Patriot League titles and six appearances in the FCS (formally I-AA) playoffs.
In 2003, Biddle was named the American Football Coaches Association Division I-AA National Coach of the Year after leading the Raiders to a 15-1 record, and to the national championship game of the NCAA Division I-AA playoffs.
