The Colgate Raiders (3-2, 1-0) will travel to rival Cornell (1-3) on Saturday, Oct. 16, in search of its 600th win in program history. Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m. at Schoellkopf Field.
THE SERIES
This will be the 93rd meeting between Colgate and Cornell, with the Big Red leading the all-time series 48-41-3. Colgate won last season 45-23 in Hamilton at Andy Kerr Stadium.
CLOSING IN ON 600
The Colgate football team enters Saturday's game against Cornell with 599 wins, just one shy of becoming the 15th program in FCS history to reach 600 wins. The Raiders are also the ninth winningest program in the FCS over the last decade. Since 2000, Colgate has posted a recorded 85-37 and won four Patriot League titles.
THE COACHES
Colgate head coach
Dick Biddle, who has the most wins in school history, is in his 15th season at the helm of the Raiders. His overall record is 116-53, and is 11-2 against Cornell. Biddle has won eight or more games in seven seasons during his career.
Cornell head coach Kent Austin is in his first campaign with the Big Red and has compiled an overall mark of 1-3 in his first season.
CORNELL NOTEBOOK
The Big Red (1-3) are coming off a road loss to Harvard 31-17, but are 1-0 against the Patriot League after topping Bucknell 21-12 during week three this season.
Cornell is led on offense by junior quarterback Jeff Mathews and senior wide receivers Shane Savage and Luke Tasker. Mathews, has 650 yards passing averaging 162.5 per game, while Savage and Tasker have combined for 34 receptions and 375 yards receiving to lead the Big Red. Savage leads the team with 19 receptions for 225 yards while Tasker has caught 15 passes for 150 yards.
On defense Cornell is led by Brand Lainhart and Brian Gee with 43 and 35 tackles, respectively, while Emani Fenton leads the team with three interceptions.
SULLIVAN NAMED PL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Senior quarterback
Greg Sullivan was named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week following his performance against Princeton.
Sullivan totaled 296 yards and two touchdowns in a 44-10 win over Princeton on Saturday. He completed 14-of-16 passes for 205 yards and two touchdowns and carried nine times for 91 yards to put up 296 yards of total offense. He helped the Raiders amass 565 yards of total offense in the game. Sullivan recorded the seventh 200-yard passing game of his career and his first this season. He earns the Offensive Player of the Week award for the fifth time in his career.
EACHUS NAMED TO WALTER PAYTON AWARD WATCH LIST
Junior running back
Nate Eachus has joined the race for the 2010 Walter Payton Award, sponsored by Fathead.com. The Payton Award is in its 24th season and is the Football Championship Subdivision's top individual honor.
Eachus has rushed for 725 yards and nine touchdowns in five games this season, and averages 145 yards per game, which ranks third in the nation. He has also caught nine passes for 91 yards, which ranks second on the team.
SULLIVAN SEMI-FINALIST FOR WILLIAM V. CAMPBELL TROPHY
Senior quarterback
Greg Sullivan has been named a semi-finalist for the 2010 William V. Campbell Trophy. The National Football Foundation gives the award, formerly known as the Draddy Trophy, to a premier scholar-athlete in college football.
Sullivan, who was named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll for the second straight year last season, is one of 28 semi-finalists named from the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS).
DIMASSA IS A TACKLING MACHINE

Chris DiMassa is currently second in the Patriot League in tackling with a total of 48, which equals 9.6 per game. The last Raider to lead the league in tackling was Mike Gallihugh with 123 in 2007.

Nate Eachus, a two-time All-Patriot First Team selection, is climbing up the Colgate record books where he is fourth in rushing touchdowns (35) and 10th in rushing yards (2,576).

THE BIDDLE ERA
Colgate head coach
Dick Biddle is in his 15th season with the Raiders. Biddle has an overall mark of 116-53. He has achieved the best winning percentage (.691) of any Colgate coach with seven or more years at the helm of the Raiders. Biddle is also the first Colgate coach to ever record nine straight seasons with seven or more victories.
He has been named Patriot League Coach of the Year four times while guiding the Raiders to six Patriot League titles and six appearances in the FCS (formally I-AA) playoffs.
In 2003, Biddle was named the American Football Coaches Association Division I-AA National Coach of the Year after leading the Raiders to a 15-1 record, and to the national championship game of the NCAA Division I-AA playoffs.
