The No. 17 Colgate Raiders (6-0, 1-0) will travel to Georgetown (0-6, 0-4) Saturday, Oct. 17. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. at Multi-Sport Field. The Raiders topped Georgetown 45-12 in 2007.
THE SERIES
This is the seventh meeting between Colgate and Georgetown, with the Raiders leading 6-0. Colgate won the last meeting 45-12 in Washington D.C.

THE COACHES
Colgate head coach
Dick Biddle, who has the most wins in school history, is in his 14th season at the helm of the Raiders. His overall record is 110-49 and is 6-0 against Georgetown.
Georgetown head coach
Kevin Kelly is in his fourth campaign with the Hoyas. He has compiled a mark of 5-33 at Georgetown.
LAST OUTING
Sophomore running back
Nate Eachus rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns as the Colgate Raiders defeated Princeton 21-14 in double overtime on ESPNU. Eachus scored on a pair of two-yard touchdown runs in both the first and second overtime periods.
The game was a battle of wills, as both defenses played spectacular football. Colgate held Princeton scoreless for over 50 minutes before Princeton quarterback Tommy Wornham threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to Trey Peacock with 9:45 remaining in the fourth quarter, tying the game 7-7.
GEORGETOWN NOTEBOOK
Georgetown is led on offense by quarterback Isaiah Kempf and wide receivers Robert Lane and Dishon Hughes. Kempf leads Georgetown in passing averaging 186.4 yards per game. Kempf's favorite target is Lane, who has 34 receptions on the season for 334 yards.
GAME CHANGING COACHES
The Colgate offensive coaching staff was named to the Game Changing Coaches series by FootballScoop.com following the 45-23 thumping of Cornell.
The Raiders totaled 32 first downs, 9 of 12 third down conversions, 561 total yards, and allowed zero sacks to defeat a previously undefeated Cornell team. Offensive coordinator
Dan Hunt chose to run the football 60 times for 344 yards. Colgate was equally efficient in the passing game, completing 14-18 attempts.
1,000-YARD RUSHING CLUB
This season
Greg Sullivan became just the third quarterback in school history to reach 1,000 yards rushing. The all-time leader is Tom Parr who finished his career in 1974 with 2,221 when Colgate was running the wishbone.
Nate Eachus also became just the 27th Colgate player to ever reach 1,000 rushing yards in his career. He currently sits 23rd with 1,302 yards, just 63 yards from 20th.
CAREER RECEIVING CHART
Senior wide receiver
Pat Simonds has moved into fifth place on the school's all-time receiving yardage list with 2,275 yards on 136 catches. Simonds is second in the Patriot League in scoring averaging 7.2 points per game.

THE BIDDLE ERA
Last season became a major milestone in the coaching career of Colgate head coach
Dick Biddle. On September 7, Biddle became the winningest football coach in school history with his 97th victory, passing the legendary Andy Kerr.
Entering his 14th season with the Raiders, Biddle has an overall mark of 110-49. He has achieved the best winning percentage (.690) of any Colgate coach with seven or more years at the helm of the Raiders. Biddle is also the first Colgate coach to ever record nine straight seasons with seven or more victories.
He has been named Patriot League Coach of the Year four times while guiding the Raiders to six Patriot League titles and six appearances in the FCS (formally I-AA) playoffs.
In 2003, Biddle was named the American Football Coaches Association Division I-AA National Coach of the Year after leading the Raiders to a 15-1 record, and to the national championship game of the NCAA Division I-AA playoffs.

Colgate head coach
Dick Biddle is a front-runner for the 2009 Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year Award voted on by fans.
The award provides each coach with $50,000 to donate to the charity or charities of his choice, as well as a $20,000 grant to donate to his school's alumni association.

Senior
Greg Hadley leads the Raiders in tackles with 39 followed by
Uzi Idah and
Garrington Spence with 33 and
Vinnie Nicosia with 26. Spence, Nicosia,
Coree Moses and
Mike Barry lead the team with one interception apiece, while Spence returned his for a touchdown.
DIFFERENT STYLES
This game will feature different style offenses as Colgate is currently ranked first in the nation with 267.2 rushing yards per game, while Georgetown is ranked 117th with 30.3. Colgate is ranked 13th in the nation in total offense (427.5 ypg), while Georgetown is 112th (226.3 ypg).
Defensively, the Raiders are ranked 19th in scoring defense (16.7 ppg), while Georgetown is 50th (22.3 ppg).

Dating back to last season the Raiders have won 14-straight regular season games, six against the Ivy League.
2009 HONORS
Senior
Paul Mancuso was named the Patriot League Special Teams Player of the Week following his performance against Princeton.
Wide receiver
John Schademan was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week following his performance against Cornell.
Quarterback
Greg Sullivan has earned the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week award twice this season and ECAC Offensive Player of the Week once.
Tailback
Jordan McCord was named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week and ECAC Co-Offensive Player of the Week following his performance against Dartmouth.
Wide receiver
Pat Simonds was named to the 2009 Sports Network preseason FCS All-America Team.
CLIMBING IN BOTH POLLS
Colgate moved up six spots in both polls. The Raiders are ranked 17th in the Sports Network poll and 18th in the FCS Coaches Polls. The Raiders received 1,007 points in the Sports Network poll and 208 votes in the FCS Coaches poll.
COLGATE VS. PATRIOT LEAGUE TEAMS UNDER BIDDLE
In the last 14 seasons, the Raiders are 63-16 against Patriot League teams under head coach
Dick Biddle for a winning percentage of .815. They have lost to Lehigh six times, Bucknell four times, Holy Cross three, Fordham twice and Lafayette once.
UP NEXT
Colgate will travel to No. 25 Holy Cross Saturday, Oct. 24. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. in Worcester, Mass. The Raiders topped Holy Cross 28-27 last season and have a 10-3 record against the Crusaders during the Biddle era.
