With the win Sass became the first Colgate goaltender to record a win in her first five starts.

Colgate, 7-5 overall and 2-1 in ECAC Hockey fell behind in the opening period when Yale forward Helen Resor beat Sass at the 6:14 mark. Resor’s initial shot flew over Sass, but she was able snag her own rebound of the boards to net on her second attempt.

The Raiders scored during their first power-play mid-way through the first as junior Evan Minnick (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) cleaned house in front of Yale goaltender Jackee Snikeris for her fourth of the season. Sophomore Jessi Waters (Menlo Park, Calif.) who took the initial shot and junior Marissa Dombovy (Webster, N.Y.) were both credited with an assist.
