Eaton Street Softball Complex

The Eaton Street Softball Complex is home to the softball team and within the Hooks Wiltse Field complex which includes four playing fields including the one used exclusively by Colgate. The field is a collaborative venture with the Village of Hamilton and the wider complex is used for amateur and Little League games as well as cultural events and festivals. The Eaton Street field has a dirt infield and natural grass outfield. The complex provides bleacher seating alongside the Colgate field and includes hospitality, team and rest room facilities.

Colgate softball began utilizing the Eaton Street field in March, 1996 with a move from their original home field on campus west of the J.W. Abrahamson Tennis Courts. The team's first home games on the Eaton Street field were on April 5, 1996 and resulted in wins over West Point by scores of 8-0 and 5-4.

In 2011 the softball team hosted their first Patriot League tournament with the league title ultimately won by Lehigh University. During the summer of 2011 the field was extended to 205 feet and new fencing was added to enclose the bullpens outside the dugouts.
